Over recent weeks, 649 cadets have been involved in a two part programme looking at how to be safe as both the driver of a vehicle and being a passenger. This is vital knowledge to have as the cadets grow older and start learning to drive but it can also be applied in everyday life.
The activities involved included the use of SAMSUNG GEAR VR providing the experience of a passenger in a car who is involved in a car accident and a driving simulator which can have different scenarios to play through such as reaction stopping time and a variety of weather conditions. There were many discussions about how to be safe and how to escape from a situation they may not be comfortable in.
Thanks goes to Young Gloucestershire for providing this to the squadron.
